We identify the type of site and its topics, then figure out the approach. We perform an initial basic usability test to identify obvious problems that hinder conversions.
We study statistics from all configured systems on the site: we determine the main group of leads and study their on-site behaviour (without neglecting the rest of the parameters). We study user paths and reasons for failures. We provide guidance on setting up (or adjusting) the tools: Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager.
Design and content evaluation
We evaluate the quality of layout, design, filling of content: we check the source code of pages, manually and with validators; adaptability of site elements to different screen sizes; site content, its relevance, and transparency; compliance with the hierarchy of colors and fonts, conversion elements and their design in general.
Feedback quality chec
We analyze performance of the support service and the response speed, the possibility to leave comments and/or fill out contact and feedback forms, along with its usability (number of form fields and their necessity, adequacy of comments, and feedback).
We analyze sites with similar topics (on average we select 5 competitor sites), test them, and form a brief overview of advantages, found in the competitive environment. Based on a similar theme of the online resource and the similarity of propositions on it, one can understand the shortcomings of the competitor, and hence one’s own (or avoid them in the future).
Implementation of best practices and trends in UX
We search for leading design trends and best practices for their application to user interface development, compare them to improve the quality of the user path to conversion in order to make this path as transparent and efficient as possible.
We analyze the technical means of development: the rationality of choice and compliance of technology used for the project, the accessibility of tool (availability of developers and documentation), consider the prospects of this technology (which is important for future support of the project). We study productivity, security, cross-browser and cross-platform abilities, etc. We offer alternative means of implementation.
Real user experience
Based on analytics data, we select a group of potential users (10 leads on average) who can convert. We study their behavior from the first seconds on the site, how the user announces his or her actions and impressions of usage. Thus receiving and analyzing feedback in real time.
